David R. Kennedy was born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1956, the fourth of nine children. He grew up in Bay Village, Ohio and graduated from Bay High School in 1974. Dave attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Management and Economics) in 1978. He started a career in banking and was working as a branch manager for The Firestone Bank in Akron, Ohio when he enrolled in night school at the University of Akron School of Law in 1982. Dave completed his law degree in December 1985 and was admitted to the Ohio Bar in April 1986. He started into the private practice of law in 1989. Dave concentrates his practice in the areas of Probate and Estate Planning; General Business and Corporate; and Real Estate. His firm now employs two associate attorneys who serve in the areas of personal injury, civil litigation, family law, criminal law, bankruptcy and social security disability. Dave is also the founder and President of Ohio Fidelity Title Agency, Inc., which provides residential and commercial real estate title and escrow services throughout Ohio. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association (Estate Planning, Trust, Probate Law and Real Property Law Sections), the Akron Bar Association (Probate Law Section) and the Christian Legal Society. In 1998, Dave initiated the Life-Law Legal Services program that offers discounted legal services and encourages charitable giving to pro-life and pro-family organizations. Dave attended the National Litigation Academy of the Alliance Defense Fund in 1999 and is now affiliated with nearly 1000 other attorneys nationwide who provide pro-bono legal services to defend the rights of religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, and family values. Dave, his lovely wife Karen, and their four children reside in Sharon Township, Ohio. They are members of the Sacred Heart Church in Wadsworth, Ohio.
